Fire officials said the male victim was walking with his wife and dog near Rural and Ray roads when the attack happened. The bees swarmed after as the man was trying to dispose of dog waste in a trash can. It's unclear what caused the bees to attack. Fire officials say the man was stung over 100 times before crews arrived at the scene. One is in serious condition. RAW VIDEO: Bee attack caught on tape At about 9 a.m on Wednesday, firefighters responded to the 500 block of E. Knox Road after receiving a 911 call from a city worker. During the call, a woman could be heard screaming in the background trying to get away from the swarm of bees, Tempe Fire Department spokesman Mike Reichling said. The couple opened a garbage can to clean up after their dog at Hangar Park when the bees attacked, according to Reichling. The man was stung about 100 times and taken to a hospital in serious condition.
